BACKGROUND

Peggy L. Shelly’s interest in qualitative research began in the 1970s with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Albion College in Michigan.  She moved to the East Coast to earn a M.A. in Criminology at Rutgers University in New Jersey and then went to work at Jordan, McGrath, Case & Taylor advertising agency.  This foundation laid the groundwork for an extensive career as a strategic planner.

In 1989, Peggy established PLS Insights, a global qualitative research firm, located in New York City. Over 20 years later, some of the largest companies in the world rely on PLS Insights to better understand their consumers.

Peggy is an active member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA)
